The Linda Mwananchi Movement has announced a proposed national leadership line-up as it moves to establish its political structures and strengthen its operations ahead of the 2027 General Election. The proposed arrangement provides for one party leader and four deputy party leaders, alongside other key officials expected to oversee the movement’s administrative and political activities.
Under the proposed structure, Vihiga Senator Godfrey Osotsi has been selected to serve as the party chairperson, with former Makadara MP Reuben Ndolo proposed as his deputy. Suba South MP Caroli Omondi has been proposed for the position of Secretary General, while Kisii Senator Richard Onyonka is expected to serve as treasurer.
The movement has also proposed Nairobi lawyer and former Law Society of Kenya President Faith Odhiambo and Mavoko MP Patrick Makau for Deputy Party Leader positions. Former Meru Governor Kawira Mwangaza is also expected to join the movement after leaving her current party, where she is reportedly set to take up a leadership role.
Coast Region to Get Leadership Positions
The proposed structure has reserved one of the four Deputy Party Leader positions and a deputy chairperson position for representatives from the Coast region. The arrangement appears intended to accommodate regional representation as the movement works to establish a national leadership team.
Natembeya to Lead Presidential Campaign
In its proposed campaign structure, Trans Nzoia Governor George Natembeya has been designated to lead the movement’s presidential campaign. He will be deputised by Faith Odhiambo, who is also among those proposed for a senior position in the party’s national leadership. The proposed appointments are part of the movement’s efforts to organise its political operations and prepare for the next General Election.
Linda Mwananchi Establishes Nairobi Headquarters
The leadership proposals come as Linda Mwananchi sets up its national headquarters in Lavington, Nairobi. The establishment of the office is expected to provide a central base for coordinating the movement’s activities as it builds its structures ahead of the 2027 polls. The proposed leadership line-up signals the movement’s ongoing efforts to organise its national team, although the positions remain subject to the movement’s formal processes and confirmation.
