A Kenyan-Based In Canada Working As A Nurse, Drowns In Swimming Pool While On Facebook Live

A Kenyan lady identified as Hellen Wendy drowned while swimming in a pool as she was streaming live on Facebook to her fans and friends. Wendy was a Kenyan nurse in Toronto, city of the Canadian province of Ontario.

In the video, the young lady is spotted alone at the pool with an exciting face as she engages with her online friends, “It’s 2 PM here, nimetoka job (I have come from work),” said the young nurse just moments after stepping in the pool but it all turned sour moments later.

Just shortly after 10 minutes into the live stream and her swimming, Wendy is seen diving towards what is believed to be the deep end side of the pool. Moments later she started wailing, screaming and seeking for help in distress. She was alone in the pool and had to go through the distress much to the horror of her viewers who had joined her live stream and couldn’t do anything to help her out.

After almost 2 minutes of an unbelievably painful struggle in the water, the video gets calm as she drowns to the bottom of the pool. The live stream remained live for almost four hours before her body was subsequently located and retrieved.

The video raised mixed reactions online as some people argued that she was not a good enough swimmer to be diving in the deep end let alone swimming alone in the pool.

Family and friends took to social media to condole with her and her family following her tragic demise.

Kenny Fidel wrote to her Facebook.

“So sad rest Easy my classmate ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ðŸ¥ºðŸ¥ºðŸ¥ºðŸ˜ðŸ¥ºðŸ˜ðŸ¥ºðŸ¥ºðŸ¥ºðŸ¥º

Margret Morah added

Facebook is yet to pull down the disturbing footage

Ebru TV could not share the video clip due to the graphic nature of the incident.
