Athletics Kenya organizes anti-doping seminar in Eldoret

All athletes who skipped the athletics anti-doping seminar held on Wednesday in Eldoret will be barred from competing at the national trials.
The seminar which was meant to sensitize the athletes on doping administration and management system saw only 40 out of over 100 athletes attend.
According to the International Association of Athletic Federations (IAAF) warning against Kenyan athletes who had been involved in the recent doping cases.
She added that athletics Kenya can’t make any final decision concerning doping cases that have been there for the last two months because the athletes have to pass through all doping tests before being suspended.
Present was the three-time world 1500m champion Asbel Kiprop, who termed the seminar to be one of the educative processes that will enlighten the athletes on what they should use in their training.
Recently Olympic marathon champion Jemimah Sumgong tested positive of a banned substance in an out-of competition testing. However the results of her Sample B testing is being awaited.
