Clergymen want government to rescue Naivasha from ‘witchcraft’ situation

The church has called on the government to deal firmly with the increasing cases of child abduction in Naivasha and its environs. The church said it was disheartening to see minors disappear only to be found brutally murdered and some body parts missing.

In what it termed as ritual killings over witchcraft, the clergy said the cases were increasing by the day with more and more kids reportedly missing.

Only last week Karagita residents in the lake side town raided several houses belonging to witch doctors saying they were behind the disappearance of kids.

According to the Nakuru County Prayer Coordinator Bishop John Maina, the church was concerned over the incidences adding that firm action should be taken.

The Bishop called on government to conduct impromptu raids such as the ones done by residents and flush out the witch doctors who have pitched tent in the sprawling estate that is home to tens of flower farm workers.

Maina was speaking during the launch of the church’s branch in Naivasha.
