Environment Cabinet Secretary Judy Wakhungu has reaffirmed the government’s commitment in conserving the ecosystem. Wakhungu has maintained that the catastrophic depletion of the ecosystem and natural resources must be stopped at all cost.
Addressing delegates attending the 2016 African Ecosystem Services Partnership Conference in Nairobi the CS said that the government has put in place policy frameworks aimed at addressing protection and preservation of ecosystem services.
The conference being held in Nairobi will focus among other things, Africa’s contribution towards evidence on best practices for management and restoration of ecosystem services for decision making particularly towards the realization of sustainable development goals.
