Nairobi County Government has said that the demolition 204 unsafe residential buildings will begin on Tuesday. The demolition exercise will greatly affect Huruma which has highest number of condemned buildings. This even as resident of the flagged buildings have continued to vacate.

The six condemned buildings in Huruma are just next to the one that collapsed two weeks ago killing 51 people.
Nairobi county Lands CEC Christopher Khaemba has maintained that the demolition plan remains on cause and a work plan of how they will execute this major process will be released on Tuesday.
The Ministry of Housing, Public Works Department has also endorsed the demolition exercise.
About 226 buildings in Nairobi county that do not meet structural integrity have been flagged for demolition.
