Diplomats from several countries have begun to arrive at President-elect William Ruto’s home to express their best wishes as he prepares to assume office.
On Wednesday, September 7 Qatar Ambassador to Kenya, Jabor Bin Ali Hussein Al-Hawashlah Al-Dosari paid a visit to Dr. Ruto, where they had talks on bilateral collaboration.
“Held talks with Qatar Ambassador to Kenya Jabor bin Ali Hussein Al-Hawashlah Al-Dosari and agreed on greater partnership in housing, agriculture and petroleum products,” the President-elect said on Twitter.
The incumbent president also stated that he had received a goodwill message from Ghana’s president, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.
“Also received a goodwill message from Ghana President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo through High Commissioner to Kenya Damptey Bediako Asare, Karen, Nairobi,” Ruto Tweeted.
Earlier in the day, as promised after his win was upheld by the Supreme Court, President-elect William Ruto made a phone call to the outgoing head of state Uhuru Kenyatta.
“I had a telephone conversation with my boss, President Uhuru Kenyatta. We discussed the just concluded General Election and the transition as envisaged by our democratic tradition and practice, “said Ruto.
The former deputy president will be sworn in as Head of State on Tuesday, September 13, at the Moi International Sports Complex in Kasarani, a day that has since been declared a public holiday.
