FEAR OF DISEASE OUTBREAK IN NAIVASHA G.K PRISON OVER BLOCKED SEWER LINE

Fears of disease outbreak have hit Naivasha G.K Prison after the main sewer line was blocked by the Naivasha Water and Sanitation Company. Officers from the company moved in and blocked the line over an 8 million shillings debt that the prison owes them.

The water company enforcement officer Peter Ngari said they were forced to disconnect the sewage after the prison failed to clear the bill of one year.
Ngari said the sewer line posed danger to the health of the inmates and the neighbouring community as raw sewer flows to streets.

The officer in charge of Naivasha G.K Prison, Patrick Mwenda expressed his frustration but said they will engage the company to resolve the issue amicably.
