GOVERNMENT SETS ASIDE FUNDS TO RESETTLE DISPLACED FAMILIES IN BARINGO COUNTY

The government has set aside 56 million shillings to resettle more than 10,000 families that were displaced from their homes following the wave of insecurity in Baringo county. This is according to Special Programs Principal Secretary Josepheta Mukobe, who has at the same time revealed that burnt schools in the region will be reconstructed. Close to 10 schools in Baringo County are set to undergo a major facelift.

Among the schools to be reconstructed include, Nasukro, Kagir, Arabal and Chemorongyon to mention but a few.

Further the government intends to use 56 million shillings that will mainly go towards rebuilding houses that were destroyed following the banditry attacks.

Baringo county has been rocked by incessant bloodshed following banditry attacks pitting the rivalry neighbors.
