As if they did not make enough headlines the previous year when they qualified for their first ever Africa Cup of Nations tournament, Harambee Starlets are at it again.
Kenya sealed their place in the semifinals of the 2017 COSAFA Women’s Championships on Monday after beating Swaziland by a solitary in their last group B match to maintain their hundred percent record in the tournament.
Harambee Starlets have scored a stuggering 17 goals in the preliminary rounds after beating Mozambique 5-2 in their first group B match. The second game was a goals galore where Mauritius were on the receiving end of an 11-goal thrashing by the kenyans. Kenya sealed top spot in the group with 9 points thanks to a last minute winner by Mercy Achieng against Swaziland on Monday.
Kenya will now take on Zimbabwe in Thursday’s second semifinal at the Barbour fields Stadium in Bulawayo, with Zambia and South Africa to contest the earlier fixture at the same venue.
