Kenya at risk of not meeting deadline for Africa Nations Championships preparations

Kenya is facing a tight schedule in preparations for the 2018 Africa Nations Championships, following CAF’s announcement that it might strip the country off its hosting right should they not have met the August 20th stadium progress deadline.

CAF has no intention to strip Kenya off its 2018 African Nations Championship hosting rights.

However, Vice President Constant Omari has asked the government to ensure there is progress in the preparations by August 20th when they make the next visit.

Sports Cabinet Secretary Hassan Wario admitted that there is so much work to be done, but insisted there is so much commitment from the government and gave an assurance to CAF that work will go on positively.
