The Kenya Sevens run in the Paris Sevens came to a disappointing end after losing 24-5 in the cup quarter finals to an energized France side backed by the roaring French fans in Paris on Sunday. The Singapore sevens champions then proceeded to the plate semi finals to put in yet another dismal performance that saw them lose 26-7 at the hands of Australia.

Shujaas had a shaky start in the cup quarter final, and conceded a try just a minute into the game and immediately fell 7 points behind after the french scored from the conversion.

The Kenyans pulled back a try just before half time but failed to score from the following conversion to allow France to go into the break still leading by two points.

The second half turned into a french masterclass as the hosts managed to score three more tries and a conversion to win the the game 24-5 and seal their place in the cup semis.

Kenya then locked horns with Australia in the plate semi finals but conceded a staggering 21 points to the Aussies by half time.

Kenya scored a try and turned in a conversion right after the break in a bid to conjure a comeback but the Aussies proved the better side.
