On Sunday night, a fight between two brothers over a meal of ugali and omena resulted in the death of their elder brother in Likuyani Sub County.

The two brothers picked a fight over a meal of ugali and omena served by their mother for supper at Kambi Elijah village in Seregeya sub-location, Likuyani, Kakamega County.

Albert Adamba and John Kilibwa fought after Kilibwa demanded more of the omena, which Adamba objected to.

Their elder brother, Vincent Misango, 56, intervened, but Adamba hit him on the head with a blunt object, knocking him unconscious.

According to area assistant chief Moses Shivina, the deceased recently moved into the area after selling his land in Munyama village, Lumakanda location, Lugari sub-county.

The administrator stated that the deceased still had some money from the sale of the land, which is thought to be the target of his killers.

He claimed that after not seeing him for three days, his neighbors became suspicious.

When one of them went to check on his house, he discovered that the door was locked from the inside. He pushed open one of the windows and discovered the body on the bed.

The body was removed and taken to the Kimbilio mortuary in Uasin Gishu county

The DCI department has launched an investigation into the incident.
