Namwamba accuses outsiders of brewing discord in his party

Labour Party of Kenya leader Ababu Namwamba insists his party is strong as ever and rubbished reports that the party is en route to extinction.

Speaking in Eldoret, Ababu termed the claims as misleading and malicious.

Last week Ababu suffered a major political blow after the Politcal Parties Tribunal suspended his membership and party leadership until a petition challenging his status is heard and determined.

The former ODM party member Namwamba accuses an unnamed party of using non party members to sow seeds of discord in his party.

The Labour Party leader has also condemned the ongoing state of insecurity in some parts of Rift Valley and called for their indictment at the International criminals court.

He has expressed the party’s support to the government efforts to restore normalcy in the area.

He went ahead to call on the local community to cooperate with security agents deployed in the area underlining that the primary responsibility of any government is to ensure security of its people.

Ababu further called on President Uhuru Kenyatta to speedily intervene and end the doctors strike.

He wants both the health CS and PS fired in light of the prolonged crisis.

This comes even as Ababu faces numerous hurdles with his party secretary general David Makali quitting the party.
