Martha Karua is hopeful that the Supreme Court will rule in favor of the Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Alliance in the petition challenging the presidential election results.

She stated that the Azimio brigade had gathered sufficient and overwhelming evidence to overturn IEBC’s decision to declare William Ruto Kenya’s 5th President.

“Our petition is watertight and the evidence is overwhelming,” she posted on Twitter.

Karua expressed confidence in the Supreme Court’s ability to uphold the rule of law and deliver justice.

“We are assured that the Supreme Court will uphold the rule of law, and justice will be served,” she added insisting that the petition was between IEBC chairman Wafula Chebukati and the Kenyan voters who cast their votes on August 9.

Azimio la Umoja– One Kenya Coalition Presidential candidate Raila Odinga and his deputy Martha Karua on Monday filed a petition at the Supreme Court, seeking to challenge president-elect William Ruto’s win in the August 9 polls, which Raila has since termed as null and void.
