Kirinyaga Governor Anne Waiguru Urges For A Handshake Between Uhuru And Ruto in order to alleviate tensions in the country.
Speaking in Kirinyaga County on Tuesday, Waiguru, who is running for re-election in August on a UDA ticket, alluded to President Kenyatta owing the DP because he was instrumental in bringing the Head-of-State into State House.
Waiguru claims that if the Head of State fails to do so, Mt. Kenya inhabitants who support DP Ruto’s presidential campaign would forsake President Kenyatta when his term expires in August.

“Sisi tunakuomba kwa heshima, miezi nne ambayo imebaki, tafadhali fanya handshake na William Ruto ndio hawa watu wasikuwe pande moja na wewe usikuwe upande nyumbani kwa sababu hautafuti kiti.” Waiguru stated, “Tena tunakuomba umsalimie ndio uende nyumbani na heshima yako.”
Waiguru went on to encourage President Kenyatta to break relations with certain members of his team who are reportedly misguiding and influencing his decision-making.
“Sisi tunakuomba mheshimiwa Rais hawa wamekuzingira nakuomba uwabadilishe kwa sababu hao ndio wanakupoteza njia.” “William Samoei Ruto, Kukuambia uwekele, hizo maneno ndio achukiwe na watu wa Mt. Kenya,” she remarked.
The Kirinyaga governor further remarked that Kenyatta should let DP Ruto and ODM leader Raila Odinga compete for State House without interference from the Head of State.
Regardless of what his opponents say, Kirinyaga villagers will strongly support DP Ruto, according to Waiguru.
“Ulikuwa umesema miaka kumi yako na kumi ya Ruto kwa hivyo tunakuomba kwa heshima kwa heshima kwa heshima kwa heshima kwa heshima kwa heshima kwa heshima kwa “Fanya utoke hapo, umwache William Ruto amenyane na huyu mzee wa Azimio,” she said.
In a somewhat toned-down attack on Interior CS Karanja Kibicho, Waiguru asserted firmly that no one could persuade her to abandon Jubilee, and that no other Kenyan should be forced to support a political party.
