Africa’s fastest man, Kenya’s Ferdinand Omanyala yesterday evening beat home favorite sprinter Akani Simbine of South Africa who is the Commonwealth Games 100m champion. Omanyala won the 100m race in a season’s best time of 9.98 seconds during the ASA Athletics Grand Prix 4 at Germiston Stadium in Johannesburg, South Africa.
Omanyala set a record last year during the Absa Kip Keino Classic when he finished second in 9.77 seconds squashing Simbime’s record and becoming Africa’s fastest man.
