On the day of the ceremony, Kindiki arrived at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC) promptly at 10 am, accompanied by his wife, Dr. Joyce Kindiki. Prior to the formal proceedings, he took time to visit his former office at Harambee House, where he was warmly received by senior staff, including Principal Secretary Raymond Omollo.
