Motorists in the Nairobi Central Business District (CBD) are set to experience temporary traffic disruptions due to a traffic advisory issued by the Kenya Police Service.
The advisory comes in light of two major events scheduled in the city: President William Ruto’s address at City Hall and the ongoing Africa Urban Forum at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC).
Police indicated that security arrangements encompassing both venues will require partial road closures within the CBD. The affected areas include the Supreme Court/Parliament Roundabout, sections of Wabera Street adjacent to City Hall, and City Hall Way.
Drivers are urged to plan alternative routes, allow extra travel time, and comply with instructions from traffic officers deployed on the ground. Authorities emphasized that all measures have been put in place to ensure public safety and the smooth running of the events.
The Kenya Police Service reassures the public that disruptions will be temporary and that efforts are being made to minimise inconvenience to commuters while maintaining high levels of security.
