President William Ruto has said the government is increasing investment in education and skills development as part of efforts to prepare Kenya’s young population for the future. Speaking during the 46th KDF pass-out parade at the Defence Forces Recruit Training School in Eldoret, Uasin Gishu County, Ruto said Kenya’s greatest resource is its people, making education and training key priorities for the country’s development.
The President said the government was allocating significant resources to strengthen the education sector and improve opportunities for young Kenyans.
Government Expands Education Investment
Ruto said the government was continuing to recruit more teachers and expand learning facilities to accommodate the growing number of students. He also highlighted plans to improve university education through a new funding model and increase accommodation facilities, including hostels and dormitories. According to the President, these measures are aimed at giving young people better opportunities to acquire skills and compete effectively in the future.
Ruto Urges Youth to Work Hard
The Head of State said preparing Kenya for the future requires a strong focus on education, training and skills development. He urged young people to work hard and take advantage of the opportunities available to them, assuring them and their parents that the government would continue playing its part in building a better future.
