A coalition of United Opposition leaders is set to kick off a three-day political tour across Western Kenya, in a move aimed at boosting grassroots engagement and consolidating support ahead of anticipated political realignments.

The delegation will be spearheaded by Democratic Action Party–Kenya leader Eugene Wamalwa. Other prominent figures expected to join the tour include former Deputy President and DCP leader Rigathi Gachagua, Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka, People’s Liberation Party leader Martha Karua, former Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang’i, Trans Nzoia Governor George Natembeya, and Cleophas Malala. Several Members of Parliament will also accompany the leaders, among them Eseli Simiyu, Wafula Wamunyinyi, Caleb Amisi, and Peter Salasya.

According to the planned itinerary, the tour will begin on Friday in Luanda, with additional stops in Khwirumbi, Khayega, Malava, Mayuge, and Shikomari. During these visits, the leaders are expected to address residents and engage with local communities. On Saturday, the team will start the day with a media briefing before proceeding to Shianda, Bumala, Nambale, Harambee Market, and Ekitale town for a series of public rallies and community interactions.

The final day on Sunday will see the leaders traverse Kibabii, Chewele, Misikhu, Naitiri, and Kiminini, before concluding the tour in Kitale town, marking the end of their Western Kenya outreach programme.
