
Team Kenya is geared up to shine on home soil as the inaugural World Under-21 Taekwondo Championship officially begins this Wednesday at the Kasarani Indoor Arena. The national team, comprising 16 athletes, has been undergoing intensive training at the Kenya Academy of Sports and is confident of delivering outstanding performances. The championship has generated major global attention, drawing 77 countries and over 450 athletes to Nairobi.
Among the countries participating are South Korea, the United States, Israel, Russia, South Africa, Egypt, Côte d’Ivoire, and Uganda. World Taekwondo officials and international teams began arriving over the weekend, signaling the start of a high-profile global sporting event that positions Kenya as a leading destination for international competitions.
