The Kenya Volleyball Federation (KVF) has officially opened the 2026 mid-season transfer window, offering league clubs a timely chance to reinforce their squads as the 2025/2026 season reaches a critical stage. In a circular dated Monday, February 2, 2026, and issued to all KVF-affiliated league clubs, the federation confirmed that the transfer window became active on Sunday, February 1, 2026.

Two-Week Window for Squad Reinforcement

KVF said the February transfer period is intended to give teams the flexibility to address weaknesses, adjust tactical approaches, and realign objectives for the remainder of the season. Clubs chasing league titles, pushing for improved league positions, or fighting relegation are expected to use the window to make strategic additions. The federation noted that the mid-season window will remain open for two weeks only, closing on Sunday, February 15, 2026, at 11:59pm. KVF stressed that no transfers will be processed beyond the deadline, urging clubs to finalize all paperwork within the set period to avoid delays or disqualification.

Focus Shifts to Club Strategies

With the window now open, focus turns to how teams across the various leagues will respond. Smart recruitment, well-timed reinforcements, and effective squad management over the coming days could play a major role in determining the final standings of the 2025/2026 volleyball season.

Emphasis on Fair Play and Proper Procedure

In the spirit of sportsmanship, KVF has called on team officials to support players throughout the transfer process. The federation emphasized the importance of informed decision-making by athletes, alongside strict adherence to documentation and transfer regulations to ensure a smooth and transparent process.
