The government has announced that beneficiaries of the NYOTA programme will receive their second round of funding by the end of June 2026, in a move aimed at boosting financial inclusion and supporting ongoing projects across the country. Speaking on the matter, Principal Secretary Susan Mang’eni confirmed that preparations for the disbursement are complete, assuring beneficiaries that the funds will be released on or before June 30, 2026. Unlike previous phases, this round will see all recipients paid at the same time.
According to the PS, the synchronized disbursement is intended to enhance efficiency and ensure fairness in the allocation process. It also seeks to eliminate delays that may have been experienced in earlier phases of the programme. The NYOTA initiative, which focuses on empowering individuals and groups through financial support, has been a key pillar in the government’s broader agenda to uplift livelihoods and stimulate economic growth at the grassroots level
Mang’eni reiterated the government’s commitment to transparency and accountability in the management of public funds, noting that all necessary systems have been put in place to guarantee a smooth payout process. Beneficiaries have been encouraged to ensure their registration details are up to date to avoid any inconveniences during the disbursement period.
As the June 30 deadline approaches, thousands of beneficiaries are expected to benefit from the simultaneous release of funds, providing a timely boost to households and small-scale enterprises relying on the programme.
The confirmation of the disbursement timeline offers clarity and reassurance to beneficiaries eagerly awaiting the second phase of NYOTA funding. With all payments set to be made concurrently, the initiative is poised to deliver a significant economic impact across various sectors.
